I’m a (soon-to-be-graduated) MPhys Physics-with-Astrophysics student, educated at the University of Edinburgh, with a fair bit of my efforts thus far being concentrated in computational methods

My academic interests lie (presently) within the study of stellar streams, with my MPhys project being concerned specifically with distant halo streams and constraining them in energy-momentum space via clustering methods (with emphasis on ascertaining the possibility of removing “energy” entirely from this procedure.) I’ve previously dealt with determining age and composition of open clusters, and simulating scalar-field dark energy by simple 1D methods, and have also found these quite fulfilling, especially with regard to writing fitting procedures and working with tabular data.

Outside of physics, I enjoy hiking, travelling, and photography: my photographical interests lie firmly in landscape and the occasional bit of astrophotography. I’ve currently produced one photographical book from a monthlong trek across the southern Hebrides, and will certainly make some more in the future!

In the future I hope to photographically document the entirety of the Highlands, and compile all my photographs into more books, ideally on top of being a somewhat reasonable physicist!
